FOR THE

We accept, as mandate from God, the words given by the Apostle Paul to his son in the faith, Timothy, when he said, “The things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” II Timothy 2:2

Dear FCU Students

Faith Christian University (FCU) was founded in 1995 for the express purpose to Educate, Empower and Equip men and women for the work of ministry in God’s kingdom. The objective of Faith Christian University is to provide an atmosphere to affirm and develop the call of God on men and women through anointed, Spirit-filled instruction.

The Word of God lays out specific standards for workmen. Matthew Henry's Commentary of 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "workmen that are unskillful, or unfaithful, or lazy, need to be ashamed; but those who mind their business, and keep to their work are workmen that need not be ashamed. And what is their work? It is to rightly divide the word of truth. It is not to invent a new gospel, but to rightly divide the gospel that is committed to their trust.”

FCU, its staff and instructors, believe when the anointed Word of God goes forth, it will become revelation. We believe impartations will occur that will speak into each student and continually reaffirm their call in God’s Kingdom.

Faith Christian University accepts, as a mandate from God, the words given by the Apostle Paul to his son in the faith, Timothy, when he said, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2)

This catalog has been prepared to acquaint students with FCU. However, if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Tenets of Faith

Faith Christian University accepts the scriptures as the revealed Word and will of God, and adopts the following statements of fundamental truths and doctrine that are listed below.

I. The Scriptures are Inspired

The bible is the inspired Word of God and the revealed will of God. Read 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25, and Hebrews 4:12 for additional study and information.

II. There is One True God

There is one true Godhead comprised of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal. See Matthew 29:19 and 1 John 5:7 for more information and additional study. Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh is the second member of the Godhead. For more study on this see Isaiah 9:6 & John 1:1, 14.

III. King, Kingdom, Royal Offspring

God, as the Creator, is the ruler of all creation by right. He attributes His rule as King and all His creation as His domain, thus giving Him the Kingdom. Man was created in God’s image and given dominion. As such God rules in heaven and gave authority of rule to His man on earth. See Genesis 1:1, Psalms 24:7-10, Genesis 1:26, Psalms 115:15-16, and Matthew 6:10.

IV. Mankind's Fall From Dominion

Man was created in God’s image. By voluntary transgression, he fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. See Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-7, and Romans 5:12-21 for more information and scripture references.

V. The Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and healing for all mankind (Psalms 103:3). This salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord. See the following scriptures for more information: Romans 3:24, Romans 10:8-10, and Ephesians 2:8.

The inward evidence, to the believer, is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of true holiness and love. More information can be obtained by studying 1 John 3:23 and John 13:35. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our works are evidence of our faith and will determine our rewards in eternity. See Acts 16:3; Romans 10:9-10; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; and James 2:18 for additional study.

VI. Two Ordinances of the Church

Water Baptism: Baptism in water is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and that they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4).

The Lord's Supper: The celebration of the Lord’s Supper by eating of the bread and drinking of the cup is a remembrance of Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:24-30).

VII. The Promise of the Father

All believers are entitled to and should expectantly and earnestly seek the “promise of the Father,” the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Jesus Christ. With this comes the endowment of power for life and service, the endowment of gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. See the following scripture for more information Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 11:14-16, Acts 15:7-9, and 1 Corinthians 12:1-31.

The Evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service. For additional study look at Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:2,6, and Acts 1:8.

VIII. The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ. Each believer is an integral part of it. Look at Ephesians 1:22, Ephesians 2:19-22, and Hebrews 12:23 for additional study on what your part in the local church is.

IX. Total Provision

Spiritual provision

See John 3:3 and 11, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, and Romans 10:9-10. Mental provision: See 2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 12:2, and Isaiah 26:3.

Physical provision

See Isaiah 53:4,5, Matthew 8:17, and 1 Peter 2:24.

Financial provision

See 3 John 2, Malachi 3:10-11, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10, and Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

Social provision

See Proverbs 3:4.

X. The Rapture of the Church

Jesus is coming again to gather all His saints to Himself. See the following scripture for more information 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, and 2 Thessalonians 2:1.

XI. Hell and Eternal Retribution

Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. They will burn in the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15).

XII. The Millennial Reign

The return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scripture promised (Romans 11:25,27; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 20:1-7). After this, there will be a new heaven and a new earth (See Revelation 21).

POLICIES

Instructors

The highest priority is given to the instruction of each course. Every instructor at FCU is qualified, anointed and gifted to teach. They are men and women with high regard for Faith Christian University’s mission and purpose. Most instructors hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or are in the process of earning a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree. Some instructors have 20 plus years of ministry experience.

Non-Discrimination Policy

We affirm that every person is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and is of equal worth and dignity in His sight.

Any student, faculty, or staff member with questions or concerns about discrimination is encouraged to bring these issues to the attention of University leadership. Anyone found to be engaging in unlawful discrimination will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination or dismissal. We believe that true unity is achieved by submitting to the authority of God’s Word, and by honoring the diversity of gifts and backgrounds within the body of Christ, for the glory of God.

Official Transcript Requests

The Office of the Registrar can issue official transcripts of student courses with grades. Official transcripts will only be sent upon written request of the student and only on the condition that the student’s account is paid in full. There is a nominal charge of $10.00 for each official transcript requested from Faith Christian University. Students receive a transcript at the time of graduation.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is copying ideas or writings of another’s writing or research and taking credit as if it were your own. This is illegal and is protected by copyright. Students are required to research and process material independently and free from plagiarism. Submitting work that has been plagiarized not only violates the reputation of FCU, but the student’s own integrity as well. Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. It is recommended students use available software to help with this such as Grammarly.com.
